DEER CROSSING ELEMENTARY is located outside the historic town of New Market, Maryland in the southeastern part of Frederick County. We began our school year with 647 students. We take great pride in serving students and families in the Lake Linganore and surrounding areas.

The achievements of our students are the results of a steadfast commitment combined with the enthusiasm, energy and dedication of our students, staff and parents. We have earned a reputation of excellence for having a highly skilled staff of professionals and paraprofessionals. A strong sense of community and a tradition of home/school involvement distinguishes our school.

As stated in our mission, Deer Crossing Elementary School is committed to developing the skills, character and potential of all students by providing the highest quality educational experience.

Teaching teams and specialists work hand in hand with support staff and parents to help our students develop scholarship and citizenship that will prepare them for continued success. With high academic and behavioral expectations, we practice the "Character Counts!" tenets every day.
