2017 Maryland School Performance Data provides a summary of state-reported school performance data. Due to lagged data reporting, the report may include performance data for the prior school year.

The Maryland Report Card provides information on enrollment, demographics, attendance, state assessments, and other supporting data based on school level.

WALKERSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL provides a diverse and well-rounded education for students in grades 9-12. Our faculty, staff and students exemplify the school motto, "Quality teaching is our task – Excellence for all is our goal."

We work cooperatively with all schools in our attendance "feeder" area and were the first Frederick County public school to establish a Feeder Improvement Team to review and establish programs and guidelines that will best serve students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. We have a student achievement coordinator who works very closely with administrators, faculty, students and parents to ensure high academic achievement within our culturally diverse population.

WHS offers Advanced Placement courses in almost all subject areas. Students also have the option of part-time attendance at a local college during their senior year, and they may attend classes at the FCPS Career & Technology Center beginning in grade 10.

Student involvement is excellent at WHS. Members of the National Honor Society provide tutoring, and PRIDE, our student-led mediation process, has proven very successful. The school's Academic Team regularly competes in Frederick County finals and the "It’s Academic" television show.

By providing experiences for all students to develop academically, physically, emotionally, culturally and vocationally, WHS prepares students to attain success in the changing society of the 21st century.
