Welcome to Our School

The Adult Education Department of Frederick County Public Schools offers a comprehensive adult education program that includes Adult Basic Education (real-life reading, writing, math and computer skills), Adult Secondary Education (GED test preparation and the External Diploma Program) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). These programs are available to individuals who are at least 16 years of age and not enrolled in any K-12 school program. We offer services including assessments, referrals and classes at many locations throughout the county, during the day, in the evening and on the weekend.
