Welcome to Our School
"Achieve Excellence Through Commitment and Service." Tuscarora High School opened its doors in August 2003. Located southeast of Frederick City near the Route 70 and 270 nexus, this state-of-the-art facility is packed with technology to prepare students for the reality of our digital future; however, our proudest assets are the experienced and talented staff members who hold high expectations for our students. Ninety percent of our graduates continue their education by attending a two- or four-year college or business/technical school.

THS is home to the Pre-Engineering Academy and host to the Johns Hopkins Engineering Innovation Summer Program. We offer a wide range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses and maintain an AP Scholars Recognition Program. Our students are frequently recognized by the National Merit Scholars Program, the National Achievement Scholarship Program and the Maryland Distinguished Scholars Program. Counselors provide ongoing support to students and offer a series of parent programs throughout the school year. An active performing arts program includes the Titans Marching Band, the Titan Tempo Show Choir and the Titan Players. Our athletic teams are competitive and offer opportunities at the freshman, junior varsity and varsity level. THS also participates in the Unified Sports Program open to all students. Service is important at THS. Student organizations sponsor a variety of activities throughout the school year. Our school community is strengthened through the active support of our parents who participate in the PTSA, Performing Arts Boosters and Athletic Boosters and through the generous support of our local business community.
