It would not be unusual for a visitor to witness students in technology classes developing blueprints through computer-aided software and transforming them into a working mechanism in the machine lab. One might hear harmonic sounds of band and chorus rehearsals, and physical education students honing their skills. Social studies classes re-enact history. Students explore traditional African music, participate in mock Olympics and discuss the merits of a recently read novel in literature circles. They study rock formations, marine organisms and soil erosion in an "outdoor classroom.” Math skills are reinforced using computer-generated graphs. Art students practice drawing. Foreign language students converse as they celebrate other cultures.
