Welcome to Our School
DEER CROSSING ELEMENTARY is located outside the historic town of New Market, Maryland in the southeastern part of Frederick County. We take great pride in serving students and families in the Lake Linganore and surrounding areas.

As we prepare for the challenges of the future, the mission of the DCES community is to help every child realize his or her potential and become a responsible, productive, lifelong learner who uses technology effectively and appreciates the multicultural society in which we live. Our motto is “Daily Challenges Ensure Success.”

The achievements of our students are the results of a steadfast commitment combined with the enthusiasm, energy and dedication of our students, staff and parents. We have earned a reputation of excellence for having a highly skilled staff of professionals and paraprofessionals. A strong sense of community and a tradition of home/school involvement distinguishes our school.

Teaching teams and specialists work hand in hand with support staff and parents to help our students develop scholarship and citizenship that will prepare them for continued success. With high academic and behavioral expectations, we practice the "Character Counts!" tenets every day.

Deer Crossing is a great place for kids and a great place for learning.
