Welcome to Our School
Located in the southern part of the City of Frederick, LINCOLN ELEMENTARY is housed in two buildings, referred to as buildings "A" and "B." Our school has a rich history. In 1962, our "B" building was converted from Lincoln School, for African American high school students, to the racially integrated South Frederick Elementary. On July 1, 2006, we restored the Lincoln name, reclaiming pride in our heritage by becoming Lincoln Elementary.

Today, "A" building is tailored for pre kindergarten through first grade students, and "B" building is for grades 2-5. Both have high-capacity computer labs and media centers for student use.

Lincoln Elementary has access to significant Title I federal funding. As a result, our average class size in kindergarten through grade 5 is about 17 students. We have a schoolwide enrichment program, reading and math intervention programs and a variety of student and family supports.

With high expectations for all students, our staff values a positive and nurturing environment in which we provide quality instruction. We closely monitor student learning, providing additional support as necessary. Lincoln Elementary is committed to ensuring all students equitable opportunities to grow academically, socially and emotionally.
