Vol. 10, No. 5: May 2007
FCPS Salaries Increasing July 1

The Board of Education has agreed to provide a 4.5% salary increase for all employees along with a step increase, which averages 3.5%, for eligible personnel.

Although the support employees (FASSE) and administrative and supervisory (FCASA) associations are entering the final year of two-year contracts that call for a 3% salary increase, the Board is committed to treating all employee groups equally. Therefore, the Board reopened salary discussions with both groups to boost salaries to the same level provided to the Frederick County Teachers Association (FCTA). According to BOE policy, employees on the Administrative, Management and Technical (AMT) pay scale will receive the same increase.
