EXTENDED LEAVE OF ABSENCES WITHOUT PAY  

Eligible employees may request an extended leave of absence without pay for up to two (2) school years for the following reasons:  

§         Adoption

§         Family illness

§         Maternity/Paternity leave

§         Military leave*

§         Personal illness

§         Public office leave

§         Study

  All leave of absences without pay require the approval of the executive director of human resources.  Continuation of insurance benefits is available at the expense of the employee.  

*Employees will be granted leave without pay for service in the Armed Forces of the United States. The Board will enforce current federal legislation concerning military leave and will consider requests by individuals for leave that extends beyond the federal law.
