ANNUAL/PERSONAL/SICK
LEAVE BENEFITS
Twelve-month
employees can earn twenty (20) days of annual leave annually. Annual leave may be accrued to a limit of
forty (40) days. Any annual leave in
excess of forty (40) shall be transferred to the employee’s sick leave.
Ten-month,
eleven-month and twelve-month employees shall be credited annually with two (2)
days to be used for personal leave.
Unused leave in excess of ten (10) days shall be credited to accumulated
sick leave.
Ten-month
employees are credited with ten (10) days of sick leave annually, the unused
portion of which shall be accumulated.
Eleven-month employees are credited with eleven (11) days of sick leave,
the unused portion of which shall be accumulated. Twelve-month employees are credited with twelve (12) days of sick
leave, the unused portion of which shall be accumulated. The unused portion is
credited toward retirement benefits.
All
regular employees are eligible to contribute to a sick leave bank. The bank
provides sick leave to Bank members after their accrued and current year’s
projected sick leave have been exhausted.

support employees do not accrue annual leave.

ADMINISTRATIVE,
MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL GROUP (AMT)
AMT secretaries earn
10 working days of annual leave annually.
All other AMT employees earn 20 working days of annual leave. Annual leave may be accrued to a limit of
forty (40) days. Any annual leave in
excess of forty (40) shall be transferred to the employee’s sick leave. Upon employment separation, AMT employees
shall receive severance pay for unused annual leave.
AMT employees shall
be credited annually with two (2) days to be used for personal leave. Unused leave in excess of ten (10) days
shall be credited to accumulated sick leave.
For every month of completed service, AMT employees accrue one day of leave, totaling twelve days per year. The unused portion continues to accrue and is credited toward retirement benefits.
